STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare federal & state tax returns and associated workpapers
  • Interaction with clients to discuss tax issues and new tax service opportunities
  • Collaboration with other service areas within the firm to meet specific client needs
  • Work with senior leaders on tax planning & calculation of quarterly tax payments

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • A CPA certificate or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam
  • 0-2 years of public accounting experience
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills -- Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to enable effective interaction
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Superior analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to provide exceptional client service through a sense of urgency and commitment to quality
  • Appropriate ethical behavior through extraordinary confidentiality, integrity, and professional conduct
  • Ability to work effectively both within a team environment and independently
  • An attitude of continuous improvement

PREFERRED:

  • Master's Degree in Tax, Accounting or Finance
  • QuickBooks experience
  • Experience working in a professional environment
  • Fluency in Spanish

Job Details:

  • Full time
  • Entry level position

  • Located in Greenwood Village, CO
  • Reports to Tax Managers
  • Flexible work schedule
  • 45 hours or less per week during tax season is normal; 40 hour weeks the rest of the year
  • Ability to work remotely up to 2 days per week after 6 months with company
